The Maintenance Technician will be accountable for the install, repair, and maintenance of all facilities and production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for staying up to date with new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Repair broken or leaking piping on Compressed air, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and water Systems to assure proper and leak free operation
- Dismantles machinery to locate and replace defective parts
- Perform cutting and welding operation to include repair or fabrication of machine guarding, structural repairs, and installation of new equipment
- Use a variety of hand and power tools and handling equipment in performing duties
- Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory
- Follow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas
- Follow a preventative maintenance program for all machining.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Record, report, and replace damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Install replacement parts for machines.
- Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare reports documenting work performed.
- Work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent driving record.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Able to operate a scissor lift and a man lift.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing and walking on concrete floors.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and stretching as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted.
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday
