Description

OnTrack Staffing is looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians in Leesburg, AL.  Direct Hire opportunity!  Qualified candidates must be able to work 2nd shift.   Primary duties are to install, support and maintain all production equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
• Responsible for equipment in their assigned areas and other areas as directed
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
• Must support equipment emergency downtime situations
• Troubleshoot with PLC
• Develop and implement countermeasures for safety, quality and equipment problems
• Must inform all necessary personnel of extended downtime situations
• Must complete the “Daily Check Sheet”
• Communicate with technicians from other shifts
• Maintain tools and keep work areas clean (TPM and 5 S)
• Assist in production as necessary
• Notify Coordinator after 10 minutes of downtime
• Maintain attendance
• Assist with equipment installation
• Responsible for debugging of equipment
• Responsible for additions and changes to software and hardwiring of equipment
• Complete Problem Tracking Sheets
• Assist with equipment modification
• Responsible for C/M Activity, Line Improvement Activity and Cycle Time Improvements
• Ensure that Robot and PLC backups are completed
• Ensure that Equipment Evaluations are completed
• Work flexible hours, overtime, and/or weekends as needed
• Rotate jobs or shifts as needed

Additional Job Responsibilities
• Program PLC’s
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees
• Maintain ESG parts cage
• Solder, Weld, Drill & Tap holes in various metals
• Perform countermeasures to reduce equipment downtime
• Complete TPM assignments/requirements in a timely manner

Education/Knowledge        
• High School Diploma or general equivalent diploma (GED)
• Associate’s degree in an applicable technical major is preferred.
• Associate must be willing to attain at least a certificate in an approved technical major.

Experience        
• Working knowledge of the operation of large stamping presses preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred

Skills   
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

Work Environment
• Associates are required to work in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is controlled throughout the year but may occasionally be warm or cool to individual preferences.
• Associates are required to work an 8-hour day (not including overtime or other factors affecting the production schedule). 
• Associates are required to wear personal protective equipment, which includes, uniform and safety shoes, bump cap, safety glasses, earplugs, sleeves and gloves
