SUMMARY
Prepares, tests, adjusts, and operates machinery and equipment under direction of engineering, production or quality staff and pre-established procedures and specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains production equipment per Company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for equipment upkeep, cleanliness, and maintaining an efficient level of performance.
• Assures production output meets expectations and maintains established Company quality procedures.
• Consults with Production Technical Supervisor or immediate supervisor on any malfunction or major
repair for course of action. Advises immediate supervisor of need for additional machine repairs and
recommends process improvements to achieve improved operation.
• Prepares and forwards required machine maintenance reports to immediate supervisor. Uses a variety of
small hand tools and is responsible for maintaining them in good working order.
• Instructs and trains Machine Operators in an effort to improve productivity.
• Takes proactive part in acquiring training necessary for satisfactory job performance.
• Ability to diagnose or troubleshoot minor technical equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to get along with others, follow directions, and work well under stressful conditions.
• Ability to work overtime, meet attendance standards, and meet deadlines.
• Responsible for following company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Quality
System Regulations, safety/housekeeping, and Quality Management System.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. One to two years previous machine set-up experience or similar technical skills. Good work history record.
