Position Summary

OnTrack staffing is assisting a large manufacturer of home furnishings with four successful divisions producing a variety of furniture in different categories. Over 2 million square feet of distribution warehouse space on the West and East coast in the US makes for a very exciting opportunity. This opportunity is located in the Savannah, GA area where there is over 1 million square feet of distribution warehouse space between multiple buildings. We are looking for an experienced leader with lean knowledge, a great work ethic and determined to meet business KPI to meet the ever increasing demand.

Job Duties:

•  Ensuring their workforce is following all safety protocols as safety is of top importance
•  Receives all import containers according to all compliance protocol and policies and in a timely manner
•  Manages the staff for all DSV operations including ensuring proper staffing levels, attendance and all other general workload concerns
•  Review the work of the department to ensure all quality measures are met
•  General management of employees and handling all employees relations issues
•  All general warehouse activities including receiving, shipping, movement of product throughout the warehouse
•  Leading lean initiatives and making sure flow is meeting demand
•  Responsible for recording and compliance to all building and business Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Required Skills:

•  3 - 5 years of warehouse environment experience or complementary in a manufacturing field
•  3 - 5 years in a supervisory role in any field
•  Excellent communication skills as they communicate KPI within the shift and to the 1st, night and weekend shifts
•  Problem solving skills as they arise on a daily basis
•  Time sensitive nature and urgent in their work
•  Heavy lifting and general labor is required for this position
•  Knowledge of operation of large equipment for shipping and receiving

Position Details:

•  Located in Savannah, GA
•  Shift runs for 8 hours from 6 AM to 3 PM with a 1 hour lunch
•  Salary Exempt position
