Payroll and Benefits Administrator


The Payroll Administrator will process payroll and performs payroll administration duties for all locations. This position

also performs administrative support to the benefits program and may be called upon to take part in other HR duties as


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

? Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing and data integrity in the ADP payroll system for all offices. ·

? Facilitate and recommend system enhancements to optimize the extraction of information.

? Assist all offices on personnel issues and reports.

? Set up and maintain Personnel and Payroll file for each employee.

? Keep records of all personnel transactions including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.

? Input all payroll changes each pay period (new hires, terminations, deductions, address changes, etc.).

? Assist with carrying out, developing, enrolling and administrating the company benefit plan.

? Enroll newly-eligible employees in insurance and 401(k) plans.

? Maintain participant records.

? Notify insurance company of changes, including requesting COBRA paperwork.

? Resolve employee claim problems and coverage questions utilizing health insurance broker.

? Provide assistance to all employees about group medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k) plans and COBRA


? Review, code, and approve for payment monthly invoices for medical, dental and disability coverage, and claims

for treatment of work-related injuries.

? Respond to unemployment claims.

? Take part in strategy sessions with Health Insurance Brokers in creating cutting-edge insurance plans to combat

current market trends.

? Produce necessary payroll reports for Accounting personnel each pay period.

? Generate bi-weekly 401(k) contribution and loan report for bank.

? Send overtime report to VP of HR/Finance after each payroll.

? Annual reporting, such as EEO-1, 401k Non-Discrimination Testing, Benefit Census, etc.

? Ad hoc reporting as requested.

? Organize employee activities and awards.

? Fields employee questions, concerns and requests regarding payroll, benefits and company policies.

? Respond to inquiries regarding verification of employment and other personnel-related inquiries.

? Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in payroll processing within ADP.

Experiencing administering a benefits plan preferred.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
