OnTrack Staffing is hiring for Repair Specialist to assist Cell phone Refurbishing company in Alliance Area of Fort Worth, TX.  We have 1st shift 8:30am-5pm $13 hourly and 2nd shift 5:30 pm-2:00 am $13.50 hourly.  All shifts are Monday-Friday with mandatory overtime as needed on Saturday.  Candidates must be able to work in metal free environment.  Contact Beth Rennecker to schedule your onsite interview beth.rennecker@otstaffing.com 972-454-4414

 

Position Summary:

Perform high level complex operations such as inspection, assemblies, disassembles, packaging and testing for mobile phones and/or similar electronic products as well as material supply and scrap coordination and other tasks assigned to meet production targets (quality, quantity and time). Supports Leaders and Techs in relevant production process area, focusing on troubleshooting, resolving issues, reinforcing quality practices and achieving goals and results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in repairs, assemble, re-assemble components using manual or mechanical tools per Work Instruction.
  • Use designated tools to protect the product from scratches, falls and other issues related to handling the unit.
  • Ensure process for rejected phone is followed ensuring that quantity, failed code and type of failure is clearly identified.
  • Receive, verify, inspect and control non-compliant materials.
  • Follow quality standards defined in the work instruction.
  • Report immediately to Line Leader any incident that may put product targets at risk, quality of the product or employee safety or work labor environment.
  • Report any non-conformance material, tools or equipment used for the unit assembly and/or disassembly or testing process.
  • Receive, control and store material (material kit for the Line or Shipping) maintaining the proper inventory levels.
  • Work with scrap control and proper disposition.
  • Provide assistance to junior operators with training when required.
  • Verify that rejected phone is taken to designated area ensuring that quantity, failed code, type of failure is clearly identified and takes action on failure issues.
  • Create and maintain metrics reports.
  • Comply with the Quality Management System, and the Environment, Safety and Occupational Health regulations.
  • Participate in identifying and implementing continuous improvement process activities.
  • Inspect equipment and tools to identify any replacements, malfunctions and/or repairs and escalate to the next level for correction.
  • Ensure materials and equipment assigned are safeguarded and preserved at all times.
  • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized at all times.
  • Follow ESD required practices and protective clothing and items (wrist band, heal strap, ESD gown, etc.).
  • Use designated tools to perform the job and escalate when help is required to eliminate the possibility of workmanship errors.
  • Perform repair or testing functions in assigned areas as well as additional areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of 4 years working as a Production Operator Level II or equivalent experience.
  • Line Supply.
  • Ability to perform functions in all work stations in designated area as well two additional areas.
  • Ability to read and understand Work Instruction or able to understand the task and perform it correctly.
  • Ability to properly handle and control materials.
  • Ability to sit or walk for long periods of time.
  • Understand the Production Flow process and the Job responsibilities of the area.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Keep your work area daily, according to the standard of the 5S 's.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing /EMC Teams and / or FIH key principles on quality, costs, productivity and social responsibility, etc.
  • Comply with and enforce the provisions of the System Management Environment, Health and Safety.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures and work instructions of your work area are updated and implemented.
  • Comply with the annual mandatory training plan.
  • Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System according to the applicable standards.
  • Ensure that determine and fulfill the requirements according to Customer commitment and regulatory provisions applicable.
