Position Summary
The International Pricing Analyst and Vendor Coordinator is a specialized position within the international department that provides international pricing as needed and manages the array of domestic partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Pricing
- Provide competitive pricing on a daily basis to overseas partners.
- Assist, as needed, in producing corporate account pricing.
- Provide support in partner and corporate RFP requests.
- Vendor Management
- Increase and develop network of domestic agents providing OA/DA work
- Leverage spend with domestic suppliers to achieve better supplier pricing.
- Investigate service failures with suppliers to determine corrective action.
- Monitor and report on quality of suppler network service providers.
- Develop and maintain additional vendor/supplier details and pricing for the department
- Gather yearly tariffs of domestic US agents and update the consolidated tariff spreadsheet
- Gather and maintain overseas partner contact details
- Forwarding office support
- Arrange international surveys
- Provide data input to government databases as needed.
- Arrange additional services as needed for relocating customers
Education and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service. Experience in International Relocation/Transportation, Freight Forwarding, or Household Goods Forwarding strongly preferred. Bilingual in a common international language strongly preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Operates with a customer service mentality. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and manage tasks effectively. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write English in order to understand and give directions, and to complete paperwork accurately. Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment as dictated by the duties of the job and perform data entry and typing functions.
